I Have the Liberty to Act as an Entrepreneur in My Role

The freedom to tap into my creative side is what I value the most about working at Cyient. I am a problem-solver at heart, and enjoy the autonomy my job provides in engaging with an expanding list of clients and proposing new ways to meet their goals.

I’m also given a chance to act as an entrepreneur in my role.  I’ve been learning the business end of our industry (and our clients’ industries) by osmosis over the past few years, and the knowledge I acquired has helped me make more informed decisions on prioritization, investments and strategy formulation. I enjoy the flexibility that I have in reaching my goals.  There’s no clear path when leading new initiatives, and while that can be a little scary sometimes, the exploration is exciting.

Starting as an analytical engineer performing structural simulation, I have evolved and transitioned into various roles. From a mechanical product developer with a focus on simulation to leading an electronics group supporting connected equipment initiatives, I was able to grow and move into my current role as a chief digital solutions architect for the Energy & Utilities BU.  I am now setting up an emerging technologies delivery team within the BU to extend cutting edge technology offerings to our client base, enhance the perception of Cyient in our clients’ value chain, and truly begin to address our clients’ business problems with creative digital solutions.

Yet, it’s not all work for me all the time. I love spending time with my family and being the best dad I can be. I listen to and record music (mostly metal!) and have been in a couple of metal groups. In my free time, I also brew beer at home and I love to go running, mountain biking, and camping.
